CLOSING

When I realize I graduate in a mere three months, my last four years of high school seem to tangle together in a patch work of memories: state tennis, 2014-2016 JEA Nationals, and looking forward to nationals again in 2017, World Youth Day, and winning a Pacemaker. High school is a time of self discovery with copious amounts of long nights and early mornings, with plentiful moments of failure and victory, and with crazy antics in class and outside.

Journalism has obviously been a substantial part of my high school career, yet, I'm uncertain if I want to continue this eye opening lifestyle in college. Growing up, I had my heart and mind set on nursing, specifically a Neonatal Nurse. However, as I constantly immerse myself in this lively experience day by day, I begin to second guess myself. I am currently getting certified in Adobe Premiere Pro CC because a career in journalism seems more and more appealing. Although I am hesitant to pick a future career, I am looking at colleges that offer both journalism and nursing, should I decided to switch my major.

Regardless of the major I choose, I am extremely grateful for all the leaders and classmates this journey has taken me on. These last three years have helped my become a better journalist and young adult. Whether or not a Journalist of the Year title in my future, I am forever thankful for everyone who has walked alongside me on this incredible adventure.
